GARDEN GREEN
ROOF

This Townhouse garden has a dining patio and a lushly planted greenroof. The client wanted to incorporate a bird bath and encourage avian friends and other pollinators into her space, with that in mind we installed a trellis at the far end of the garden onto which flowering vines can scramble upward while the garden roof surface is planted with grasses and flowers creating a wild meadow in the city. Several pines and fruit trees coexist in this sunny garden and give structure through the winter months. Additionally, in the autumn, the grasses and other perennials are left in their natural state for both beauty and the protection of hibernating insects.
