Our client in this charming Forest Hills Gardens home wanted a secluded, romantic garden in which to entertain friends and family while surrounded by herbal scents and texture, and color. We opted for a daring blue stain on the wood work that is striking when paired with the hues of the surrounding plants. A grape vine wends its way up the pergola, while clematis climbs up the trellis fencing. The garden is also planted with herbs, a fig tree and perennials in a variety of textures and aromas. The addition of planters softens the paved areas and are planted with a variety of edible, flowering herbs and annuals.
