BEACH
HAVEN
NJ
This garden’s design was informed by the visual language of this historic Victorian cottage on the Jersey shore. Crabapple and serviceberry trees by the front entryway provide privacy and early spring flowers, while pillowy white hydrangeas abut the breezy front porch. In the surrounding gardens, soft lavender and deep blue perennial flowers are framed by tall privet hedges and mounded boxwoods. It is easy to find yourself transported to a simpler time away from the hustle and bustle of city life while relaxing on the charming brick patio around back. Lovely terra cotta planters nestled within the beds and arranged upon the patio draw the eye with bold pops of seasonal color. Each area of this garden complements the romantic, seaside quality of the house.
